Special changes in traffic rules regarding violations, for which you can lose your rights for some time, are not expected in 2018. But it will never be superfluous to study the rules again, without observing which for some time you can get the status of a pedestrian.

By the way, it is quite possible to lose driving rights not only for serious violations - driving into an oncoming lane or drunk driving, for example, but also for not so serious offenses. This will list all the violations that entail the deprivation of rights.

Violations of registration and technical condition requirements

A driver driving a car without registration marks will be fined 5,000 rubles or deprived of his license for a period of one to three months. The same awaits drivers who have changed their numbers or installed special devices on them that can prevent their identification.

For a period of up to a year, they will be deprived of the rights for installing devices that emit red light on a car, or devices operating in a mode that does not comply with the provisions on the operation of the car. In addition, the confiscation of these devices awaits the motorists who have committed such violations.

If devices that give sound or light signals are installed on the car, and the corresponding permission has not been obtained, the driver will be deprived of his rights for up to 1.5 years. The above devices will be confiscated in due course. This rule does not only apply to burglar alarms.

Alcohol consumption

Drunk driving (no matter what type of intoxication it was) entails a more serious punishment.

This is one of the most serious administrative offenses that can be punished as follows:

  • deprivation of a driver's license for 2 years;
  • fine - 30,000 rubles.

A repeated such act is no longer an administrative violation, but a criminal offense for which the car enthusiast faces the following penalties:

  • deprivation of a driver's license for 3 years;
  • fine up to 30,000 rubles;
  • imprisonment up to 2 years.

But you can lose your rights and entrust the control of your car to a drunk comrade. In this case, the owner of the car will be punished in the same way as in case of personal drunk driving.

Some naively believe that by refusing to be examined, punishment can be avoided. This is fundamentally wrong. The law interprets it this way: if a driver refuses to undergo an examination, it means that he has something to hide. Thus, by refusing to be examined, he agrees that he was drunk.

By the way, drinking alcohol after an accident (before a medical examination) also carries a punishment that is tantamount to the punishment for drunk driving. This is done in order to prevent the driver from cheating and presenting everything as if he was sober during the accident and drank only after the accident.

Over speed

High speed can also lead to disqualification. But this is already the most serious punishment for this type of violation, and it is applied only in special circumstances. If they are not installed, the driver will be fined up to 2,500 rubles. This applies to speeding by 60-80 km. h

The amount of the fine will increase slightly if the speed is exceeded by more than 80 km. h. Then it will be 5,000 rubles. The fine is sometimes replaced by a six-month period of deprivation of rights.

The rights will be taken away necessarily if a repeated violation of this nature is committed. But even here you can get off with a fine if the violation is recorded only by the traffic police camera, and not by the inspector. A fine of 5,000 rubles is provided for this.

Driving on the "oncoming"

Leaving the “oncoming lane” can be fraught with very serious consequences. Therefore, the punishment for this can be very serious. Of course, you can get off with fines for this, but not everyone is so lucky, and many drivers pass into the category of pedestrians for six months.

In the event of a second such violation, the motorist will certainly lose his rights if it is recorded by an inspector. If the traffic police camera hits the gaze, the violator faces a fine of 5,000 rubles.

Traveling on a one-way highway in the opposite direction usually entails a fine of 5,000 rubles. But sometimes for this they take away the rights for six months.

Passage on the redirection signal

Any newcomer knows that driving at a red light is punishable by deprivation of rights. But the car enthusiast will be deprived of his rights only if he drove through a red light or the traffic controller's ban for the second time. In this case, the car enthusiast will lose his driving license for up to six months. But this is rather an extreme measure, and usually the offender is fined 5,000 rubles for this act.

A car enthusiast who has not traveled along the railway line will lose his license for 6 months. The same applies to those who crossed the railway, bypassing a closed barrier or in the red light of a railway traffic light. An alternative to this punishment could be a fine of 1,000 rubles. With a repeated violation, deprivation of rights for 1 year is inevitable.

Now the State Duma is considering the possibility of toughening penalties for traffic violations on the railway. The deputies put forward a proposal to deprive motorists of their rights for 2 years.

Ignoring cars with special signals

If a car with special signals appears on the road, most motorists try to let them pass. But there are also those who do not pay any attention to them.

Meanwhile, the law defines specific cars that must be passed without fail, these are:

  • ambulance;
  • fire department vehicle;
  • car of the Ministry of Emergency Situations;
  • Traffic police and police;
  • cars of government agencies.

There are also special signals on cars belonging to other services - for example, cars involved in road surface repairs or transporting bulky cargo. But they do not always have a privilege over other vehicles.

According to the rules of the road, when you see a car with flashing lights, you must give way to it. But this does not need to be done if this maneuver cannot be carried out without breaking the rules.

But in what situations in 2018 it will be necessary to give way to special equipment:

  • If special equipment moves into your lane;
  • If the car with flashing lights turns.

What will happen if the driver does not let the car with special signals pass? The punishment for this cannot be called too harsh. As a rule, drivers are fined 500 rubles (in the capital a little more), and only in exceptional cases they are deprived of their rights for this (3 months).

But even 500 rubles do not always have to be paid - such a fine is practiced only for ignoring cars on which, in addition to special signals, a color scheme is also applied. In its absence, the fine will be reduced to 300 rubles.

By the way, if the signal does not work on special equipment due to a malfunction, then there will be no punishment for ignoring such equipment. And deprivation of rights is an extreme measure, and it is applied only when the driver, along with ignoring special vehicles, has made some other traffic violations.

Leaving the scene of the accident

Until 2015, it was impossible to leave the accident site under any circumstances. This made it difficult to move, as the cars involved in the accident had to stay in place even with minimal damage.Later, a list of exceptional cases was established when participants in an accident are allowed to leave the scene.

But in case of a serious accident, you cannot leave the scene of the incident, for this a severe punishment is provided. An accident is considered a serious accident in which people were injured or severe damage to transport equipment was caused.

Let's say you hit a pedestrian. What will you do in this case? Most of the drivers are in a hurry to take the victim to the hospital, leaving the scene. Of course, a person must be helped, but at the same time, one should not forget to inform about the incident and his intention to take the victim to the hospital in the traffic police. Then you need to immediately return to the scene, otherwise, when the doctors report what happened, you will be put on the wanted list.

But in what cases it is allowed to leave the scene of the incident:

  1. The scene of the accident was abandoned after the Europrotocol was drawn up.
  2. The driver who knocked down the pedestrian took him to the hospital (do not forget to inform the traffic police about this).
  3. If the cars involved in the accident obstruct the movement of other vehicles (in this case, you can only drive off, but not leave).

But the basic rule remained the same in 2018 - even in these cases, it is necessary to record all the data of the road accident, otherwise leaving the accident site will be illegal, and punishment will surely follow.

Accident injury

Traffic injuries are divided into severe and moderate injuries. But for any nature of the injury, the punishment for this will necessarily follow, although it will be different depending on the category of injuries. When causing harm of moderate severity, the motorist can be fined from 2,000 to 2,500 rubles.

Sometimes, as a measure of influence, the deprivation of a certificate for a year and a half is used. In the event of grievous harm, the amount of the fine will increase to 10-20,000 rubles. In this case, you can lose your rights for 2 years.

Operational violations

If the car is registered, but there are no numbers on it or they are installed in the wrong place, this is also a serious violation. The numbers must always be clearly visible. If their visualization is interfered with by any objects or strong pollution, this is also punishable by a fine (5,000 rubles) or deprivation of a license for up to three years. If the number of another car is installed on the car, then the owner will be deprived of driving rights for 1 year.

As you can see, the penalties for traffic violations in 2018 have not changed much. But there is already a trend towards toughening penalties for some serious violations. Therefore, it is better to try not to violate the rules, because this can not only damage the budget, but also cause deprivation of rights.
