Drunk driving (no matter what type of intoxication it was) entails a more serious punishment.
This is one of the most serious administrative offenses that can be punished as follows:
- deprivation of a driver's license for 2 years;
- fine - 30,000 rubles.
A repeated such act is no longer an administrative violation, but a criminal offense for which the car enthusiast faces the following penalties:
- deprivation of a driver's license for 3 years;
- fine up to 30,000 rubles;

Some naively believe that by refusing to be examined, punishment can be avoided. This is fundamentally wrong. The law interprets it this way: if a driver refuses to undergo an examination, it means that he has something to hide. Thus, by refusing to be examined, he agrees that he was drunk.
By the way, drinking alcohol after an accident (before a medical examination) also carries a punishment that is tantamount to the punishment for drunk driving. Over speed
