Depending on the country of delivery and configuration, the list of engines changes, so there is always something to choose from. As it should be for cars of this class, the engine is only gasoline. From economical, medium power to the most charged ones with good power reserves under the hood. A manual or automatic transmission is available in pair with the engine. The manufacturer distinguishes two main types of engine, these are EcoBoost L4 and TIVCT V8.

There are also more powerful units for the limited trim levels of the Ford Mustang 2017-2019, for example the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R. For this model, the Ti-VCT V8 is used, with a volume of 5.2 liters and a power of 526 horses. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
