The new JAC S2 crossover went on sale in Ukraine. Let's point out the characteristics and photos of the novelty.
New Year brought the start of sales for the Ukrainian market of the new crossover JAC S2. In China, this model has been on sale since the second half of 2015, but only recently reached the territory of Ukraine. The new JAC S2 was presented in the same trim levels, you can choose to install a mechanic or a variator, but only with a gasoline engine.
Until recently, the older brother of JAC S3 was available on the Ukrainian car market, which cost almost 55 thousand hryvnia more expensively. Now the buyer has the right to choose between the S3 and S2 crossover. The new JAC S2 crossover is 4135 mm long, the width of the novelty is 1750 mm, the height is 1550 mm, the wheelbase is 2490 mm, and the ground clearance is 200 mm. The MacPherson strut front suspension, typical of new crossovers, is equipped with a torsion beam at the rear. The price of the new JAC S2 crossover in the basic configuration starts at UAH 305 thousand. Under the hood of the new JAC S2, only one version of the GreenJet petrol engine with a volume of 1.5 liters is installed. The power of this unit is 112 hp, and the maximum torque is 146 Nm.
In the basic configuration, the engine will be paired with a manual five-speed gearbox. For an additional fee, it will be possible to install a variator instead of a manual transmission, but the drive will only be front, regardless of the selected transmission.
According to passport data, the fuel consumption of the new JAC S2 crossover is from 6.5 liters. per 100 km on a combined cycle. The top-of-the-range JAC S2 will be equipped with a 7 ″ touchscreen infotainment system. A map of the navigation system will be displayed on the monitor.
This price also includes keyless access, full power accessories and climate control. Starting with the basic configuration, the crossover will be equipped with EBD and ABS. With additional systems, it is worth noting the downhill start assist system, front airbags and electromechanical power steering.
The sales office for the JAC S2 crossover will be Bogdan-Auto. The first crossovers have already found their buyers; the company plans to sell about 300 copies of JAC S2 in 2017. It is also planned to add new JAC models to the market, including an electric car.
